10:22PM CST Tia has been out of surgery since about 4:30.  She hasn't woken up from anesthesia yet.  She has fluttered her eyes and moved around a few times, but goes back to sleep each time.  It's ok, she is taking her time and no one is going to rush her!  We are taking this time to Thank God that the surgery went so well.  She has a new Pulmonary valve and one 'hole' in her heart repaired.  We are also reading all of the beautiful comments that Team Tia fans are leaving on her Facebook Page www.Facebook.com/TeamTia2012, this blog, and Twitter #TeamTia.

Update: Things are looking good! the heart surgeon is done! wrapping up the rest of the surgery now!! So blessed. God is Good.

Update: the surgery is well underway! they are working on the repair of the Pulmonary valve as we speak. All is well.

Posted on the Children's Medical Center Facebook Page:  Tia Hackett (center) is all smiles sitting with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo today, only hours before the 7-year-old's heart surgery. The players and cheerleaders brightened our patients' day by signing team photos and handing out socks stuffed with goodies. Stay tuned for updates on Tia as we follow her journey at Children's.

Hello Team Tia! Couple of details for you all - if you come to visit Tia, call or send her something, you need to use her full first name SANTINA HACKETT. It's a security measure at the hospital. Also, we are in the Main Hospital at Children's Medical Center Dallas (not the Pavilion Building that is the first building you see off of the highway). Take 35 to Medical Center Drive, left at the end of the ramp, through 2 sets of lights. Before the 3rd set take a left into the main entrance of the hospital. Valet parking is $5 and is worth it so you don't have to navigate the very challenging parking lots!
